As a hardcore golf fan, you must have a bucket list of the top golfing tournaments you’d wish to be part of. Some of these tournaments are not only graced by the creme de la creme of the golfing world but have a fascinating history to boot. Here are the top 5;
#5. The Players Championship
Since its inception in 1974, the year which Jack Nicklaus won over J. C Snead at the Atlanta Country Club, the tournament has been one of the PGA TOUR’s most coveted titles. The annual event is hosted at the Stadium Course designed by Pete Dye. It’s spectacular.
#4. The PGA Championship
The tournament which is on its 98th edition this year is one of 4 grand slam golf tournaments by PGA. The others are the U.S. Open, British Open and the Masters (which also make it into the top 5 ranking).
#3. The U.S. Open
It’s the oldest golf tournament in the United States. Ou must attend at least one U.S. Open whether it’s held at the Shinnecok, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Oakmont or Merion. Careers have been made at this tourney so make a date.

As the name suggests, this golf tournament is hosted on the greatest courses in the U.K. What makes it even more interesting is the unpredictable, ferocious whether that takes golfers and golf enthusiasts by surprise during the tournament.

Ladies and gentlemen (drums rolling) say hello to the World’s premier golf tournament; the Masters. It’s the Holy Grail of golf. Pary of which is due to the rich history as well as the course; the Amen corner, the azelas, pimento sandwiches. The greens and complexes here just can’t be replicated elsewhere. It’s very golfers dream to be crowned champion here and it’s only the elite few that make the cut.
